PlateFuge™ MicroPlate MicroCentrifuge

The PlateFuge™ MicroPlate MicroCentrifuge is the first mini-sized centrifuge designed specifically with a swing-out rotor for PCR and microplates. Engineered to quickly spin down droplets before PCR, it ensures all reactants collect at the bottom of the wells, resulting in proper concentrations and improved yields. With a remarkably compact footprint, the PlateFuge™ delivers powerful performance while conserving valuable bench space. The easily accessible rotor chamber includes two plate carriers that rest at a 75° angle for confident loading without the need for sealing tapes or caps. When the lid is closed, centrifugal force gently swings the plates into a horizontal position, allowing droplets to collect efficiently at the well bottoms. With speeds up to 2550 rpm (600xg), most samples can be spun down in less than 20 seconds. Opening the lid activates the automatic electric brake, bringing the rotor to a smooth stop in just 4 seconds. The PlateFuge™ accepts all popular PCR plate formats - skirted, semi-skirted, and non-skirted - as well as most standard microtiter plates, making it a versatile addition to molecular biology and research laboratories. Tube adapters for (96) 0.2mL tubes or 8- and 12-position PCR strips are sold separately in a package of two. Optional rotors, also sold separately, have carriers for deep well plates up to 35mm tall (speed: 1500 rpm).
