PolyEtherEtherKetone (PEEK) is a high-performance, chemical-resistant structural, bearing, and wear material suitable for continuous use up to 480°F (250°C). It offers excellent chemical resistance, very low moisture absorption, and inherent wear and abrasion resistance, and is unaffected by continuous exposure to hot water or steam. Virgin, unreinforced PEEK provides chemical and hydrolysis resistance comparable to PPS while operating at higher temperatures, and delivers the highest elongation and toughness of all PEEK grades. This general-purpose material also offers outstanding steam and wear resistance, meets FDA requirements CFR 21 Sections 177.2415 and 177.2416 as well as ASTM D6262 S-PAEK 0111, and is natural in color.
