TALON™ Gray PTFE Tape is a high-density, 3.5 MIL, all-purpose thread-sealing tape that provides a leak-proof seal on metal and plastic threaded connections. Its thickness requires fewer wraps, and it is compatible with acids, alcohols, heating oils, natural gas, LP gas, DEF, petroleum solvents, propane, and more. With a temperature range of -450°F to 500°F (-268°C to +260°C) and pressure resistance up to 10,000 psi, it functions as a thread lubricant and anti-seize, preventing hardening, cracking, or galling. It has no curing time, an unlimited shelf life, and does not transfer taste or odor—ideal for food and water systems, including stainless steel applications.
