These large-volume filtering flasks/bottles are ideal wherever faster, more efficient liquid-solid separation is needed beyond what gravity filtration can achieve. Constructed with a heavy wall, bolt neck with tubulation, and reinforced rim, these flasks deliver reliable durability for repeated laboratory use. Their thick walls and sturdy construction enable the large bottles to withstand vacuum filtration without imploding. Manufactured from Type 1, Class A Borosilicate 3.3 glass that complies with ASTM E438, they feature low alkali content and are virtually free of magnesia-lime-zinc groups and heavy metals. The chemical composition, approximately 81% silica, 13% boric oxide, 4% sodium oxide, and 2% aluminum oxide, ensures excellent chemical resistance, low thermal expansion, and high clarity. Note: To maintain safe operation, vacuum applications should be limited to 5-minute intervals, with the existing vacuum released before restarting. The vacuum pressure should never exceed 600mm HG at any time.
