These cell strainers detach, isolate, and strain cells from clusters and tissues. Their built-in compatibility with 12mm × 75mm culture tubes and FACS™ tubes makes them especially useful for pre-sorting and preparing samples for Fluorescence-Activated Cell Sorting (FACS™). Typically, a 35µm porous mesh is used to obtain a single-cell suspension and prevent clogging in FACS™ instrumentation. However, many FACS™ users have cited applications requiring finer pore sizes for a higher level of anti-clog protection, while others require a larger pore size for pre-sorting and/or more efficient rapid flow.
