Designed for professionals working with plastic and rubber tanks, pipes, and other coated or lined equipment, these high-frequency spark testers deliver a quick, cost-effective, and nondestructive way to detect pinholes, weld faults, air leaks, and surface defects. The lightweight, handheld device provides a high-voltage alternating current via an electrode for testing nonconductive membranes, coatings, and linings over conductive materials. The spark testers are ideal for testing coating thicknesses between 3mm and 30mm (1/8" to 1-3/16"), and they require no ground connection thanks to their AC output. Each spark tester includes a flexible probe and a power cord. 41314 also includes a carrying case, and 41315 includes a carrying case plus accessories: spark gap setter, pointed probe, drum brush, (2) 13" extension rods, gauze mesh electrode, 6" phosphor bronze brush, and electrode adaptor.
