PVC pipe is highly resistant to corrosion and chemical attack from most acids, alkalis, salts, fungi, and bacteria. It also exhibits good resistance to cracking, making it machinable. The raw materials used to produce this pipe comply with REACH and RoHS standards. To enhance UV resistance, PVC pipe and fittings can be painted with white water-based latex paint. When it comes to threading, Schedule 80 pipe can be threaded, but Schedule 40 should not be threaded. Schedule 40 pipe is dual marked as DWV. Sizes 1/4", 3/8", and 14"-24" of Schedule 40 white and Schedule 80 gray pipe are CSA approved; however, all other sizes are not. Note: Lengths 8' and longer must ship via motor freight. For small parcel shipping, choose from shorter available lengths. Custom cuts are available—call 1-800-335-6809 or email quotes@usplastic.com.
