These compact PTFE needle valves are designed for laboratory and industrial applications requiring the regulation of corrosive gases and liquids, or for high-purity service. The pliant PTFE body is reinforced by a structurally rigid metal shell for added strength, while fluid contact is limited to PTFE and PEEK materials to maintain chemical compatibility. Suitable for both pressure and non-critical vacuum service, these valves can also function as reliable shutoff valves. With a simple seven-component design that includes a single radially compressed PTFE O-ring, the valve minimizes potential leak paths and allows compression adjustment without disassembly. The spindle is constructed from rigid PEEK to reduce material creep, a problem typically associated with PTFE, and the valve can be quickly disassembled for cleaning and maintenance. The external shell is available in anodized aluminum or 316 stainless steel, with stainless steel preferred for externally corrosive environments.
