A new method of inventory management! The Level Display can be used in a variety of applications to monitor up to four tank levels and can also monitor inventory usage. It can accept any linear 4-20mA signal representing the tank level. These sensors can be ultrasonic, pressure, radar, etc. In addition, the display can accept up to six digital inputs which can be used to monitor alarms such as leak detection, and low and high levels using optional point level detectors. These inputs can also be configured to receive a pulse input from a flow meter to display and record flow rates and totals. If attached to a network, the display can also provide remote connectivity, generate text message alarms, and email system alarms and data log reports. The Level Display can be easily programmed from the large touch screen or from a computer. Graphs can be generated on the screen to allow you to view historical tank levels and relay output status. The system comes standard with six programmable control output relays of which two are powered by 115 VAC and four are unpowered. These relays can be wired for control or as alarms to be monitored by a remote system. Some examples of programming include On/Off set point control, tank level alarms (High and Low), overflow protection, and leak detection via a detection sensor. Finally, the system can be ordered with two 4-20mA outputs that can be used to retransmit the level sensor readings to a remote system. Ultrasonic Level Sensors use a pulsing sound generator and receiver to read sound echoes between the sensor and liquid level to provide a continuous level measurement. Ultrasonic Level Sensors work well in tanks that have a perpendicular unobstructed view directly to the non-turbulent surface of a liquid. Please note that the sensors should never be mounted in the center of a domed top tank. The EchoPod® family is a less expensive sensor designed for smaller tanks. It will generate a 4-20mA signal over its maximum range. The 4-20mA signal can be reduced to cover the height of your tank by programming the sensor off-line with a USB programming FOB and free software from Flowline. The sensor does not have a local display. The EchoSpan® family is designed for more difficult applications with options available to read hights up to 32.8'. The sensor has an integrated push-button display that allows you to calibrate and program the range directly from the sensor when it is installed on the tank. They also included a patented software technology that allows the sensor to ignore echoes generated by internal obstructions in the tank such as mixers and ladders as long as they are not within a 3" diameter beam area directly below the sensor.
