Gentoo is a clear coating that not only repels water but most oils and solvents. It is also able to withstand significant abrasion without sacrificing performance. This product outperforms commercially available hydrophobic superhydrophobic paint yet has a much thinner consistency and is crystal clear with a glossy finish. Gentoo has proved effective for acrylic, glass, aluminum, stainless steel, brushed steel, polycarbonate panels, wood, rubber, leather, polyethylene, and painted surfaces, such as automobiles. Gentoo can be applied with HVLP (high volume, low pressure) spray equipment or flow coating, dip coating, or brush. The low sliding angle combined with the high dirt & solvent resistance allows for easy cleaning. Gentoo will not obscure visibility and resists scratches and even graffiti, which can be removed using xylene. The coating's expected life expectancy in outdoor environments is 18 to 24 months when a recoating is recommended.
