These centrifuge tubes are made of premium polypropylene for centrifugal strength. The amber tubes are suitable for light-sensitive applications as they do not allow any light to pass through the samples. The included screw caps have a flat surface for easy marking and labeling, and the tubes and caps have specially designed flat threads for a vacuum-type closure that is leak-free at a pressure of >700mm Hg. The highly smooth hydrophobic internal surfaces minimize the wall effect, while the frosted surface makes labeling samples easier.
