These cross-shaped magnetic stir bars are made with high-quality magnets and coated in PTFE for excellent chemical resistance and dependable laboratory performance. The cross-shaped profile creates additional turbulence as the bar rotates, helping circulate material throughout the vessel and promote more consistent mixing. Designed for demanding laboratory applications, the stir bars withstand temperatures up to 270°C and remain durable at temperatures as low as -200°C. They can also be autoclaved at 121°C and 15 psi for 20 minutes for convenient sterilization and reuse.
