Living hinge is a continuous, coextruded thermoplastic hinge combining the toughness of PVC or RPVC wings with a polyester thermoplastic hinge membrane for complete flexibility and long life. Designed for easy assembly by mechanical fastening or gluing, this hinge has been tested for over 1,000,000 flexes without failure or fatigue. Compared to metal hinges, plastic hinges are lightweight, non-corrosive, less expensive, less noisy, and have a greater range of movement. The DR Channel hinges have two c-type cross-sections linked with flexible hinge sections. The hinges are used in a variety of applications, including sneeze guards, desk separators, dividers, supermarket food bin covers, store displays, aircraft storage doors, and home cabinetry. They are also used throughout the medical field, automotive industry, and the military, where long life and resistance to harsh environments are essential.
