The top of the MX has bolted tie bars that can be rapidly removed for the refurbishment of the inner container. The filling opening is 6" (150mm) with a screw cap with a 2" removable vent plug in the center, a spout that attaches to the end of the valve, and an O-ring seal. Complete discharge through a 2" MNPT polypropylene butterfly valve, protectively placed with outlet sealed by aluminum lined PE-foil, closed by PTFE O-rings and Viton™ gaskets. There is a threaded polypropylene cap on the end of the valve. Threads on the tank are buttress. Height listed includes pallet. They can be stacked three high when full with a maximum specific gravity of 1.6 except for the 8897, which can be stacked four high with a maximum specific gravity of 1.9.
