Select-Unyte is an all-purpose, non-seizing, PTFE thread sealing compound that produces a leakproof seal on all types of metal and plastic threaded connections. Select-Unyte will never harden and is an anti-galling compound making it possible to disassemble pipes and bolts easily after years of service. For use on threaded ABS, PVC, CPVC, Delrin, Zytel, Fiberglass, Nylon, Polypropylene, Polybutylene, Polyethylene, Celcon, Cycolac, and all types of metal.
- Smooth, grit-free, homogenized, white PTFE paste
- Will not transfer any taste or odor to the system being sealed (excellent for food & water systems)
- Suitable for PVC & CPVC threaded connections
- Select-Unyte has an indefinite shelf life
- Drying time: The system may be pressurized immediately after assembly
- Soft set, non-hardening
- Pressure range: up to 3,000 psi for gases & up to 10,000 psi for liquids
- Temperature range: -50°F to 400°F for gases & liquids (brushable to -50°F)
- Meets Federal Specification TT-S-1732
