EARTHWRAP's unique formulation helps the stretch wrap degrade in 12-24 months when disposed of in the environment in the presence of oxygen and UV light as per ASTM D6954. When EARTHWRAP is discarded in the soil in the presence of microorganisms, moisture, and oxygen, it will achieve 60% biodegradation, decomposing into simple materials found in nature within 20 to 24 months as described in ASTM D5988. Please note—EARTHWRAP meets ASTM Standard D6954-04 (Standard Guide for Exposing and Testing Plastics that Degrade in the Environment by a Combination of Oxidation and Biodegradation). Please be aware of the state of California's unique law (CA Public Resources Code, Division 30, Part 3, Chapter 5.7 Sections 42355-42357), which prevents the use of the words degradable, biodegradable, and compostable in the labeling and marketing of plastics products.
- Special additives cause the plastic to degrade at a controlled rate
- 100% recyclable
- Similar characteristics & performance as standard stretch wrap
- Shelf life before use is controlled by the amount of additive put in the stretch wrap
- The wrap has a green tint
