How do you install the Fiberglass Lab Blowers?

Your new fiberglass blower comes fully assembled and ready for installation. Securely mount the blower to s flat surface with bolts or leg screws. The blower is mounted in the “up-blast” position. This position can be changed for your application by loosening the two bolts and nuts which hold the blower housing clamp to the blower housing base. Rotate the housing to the desired position and e-tighten the bolts and nuts.

The blower with the standard 1/3 Hp motor comes with a cord attached ready to be plugged into a standard 110 volt wall outlet.

The blower with the explosion proof motor must be wired according to local electrical codes for explosion proof Class D motors. (See your local electrician)

The inlet and the outlet of the blower are 8” In diameter so that 8” flexible tubing can be clamped to either or both of the inlet and outlet. If you are installing rigid PVC duct to the blower, use the supplied pieces of pressure sensitive closed cell foam to insure a tight fit between the PVC duct and the bower inlet or outlet.

Periodically check the blower wheel to insure that it is tight on the shaft and that there are no cracks in the polypropylene blower wheel. Check the motor to insure that it is fastened tightly to the motor on the base.

Pre-wire plug in on the Open Drip Proof Motor runs counter clockwise (sleeve bearing) 180 degrees.

Blowers have stainless steel shaft, fiberglass housing, and polypropylene wheel.

Stainless Steel Extender shaft is 5/8” female X 1/2” male
