Studies have demonstrated that the AgION antimicrobial compound's acute toxicity is less toxic than ordinary table salt. AgION antimicrobial-protected products are safe and effective for food and water contact applications. AgION antimicrobial is registered with the EPA and is also FDA-recognized.
