What should be used to cut VIVAK ® Sheet?

A carbide tipped blade with a “triple chip” design is best. Table and overhead saws can be used.

Circular saws can be used run in the range of 8,000 – 12,000 feet per minute. 3 - 5 teeth per inch is recommended. Thicker gauges require fewer teeth per inch. Band saws can be used but circular saws are preferred for making straight cuts. Thin gauge sheets should be well support all the way up to the cutting blade.
Band saws should be run 2,000 feet per minute and have 3 – 15 teeth per inch. Thicker gauges require fewer teeth per inch.

VIVAK ® should be clamped and secured to avoid vibration which will induce cracks in the sheet.
