Attaching a Brass Fitting to your red Fuel and Oil Tank

The Fuel and Oil tanks come with a either a 3/4" FNPT or 2” FNPT spin welded fitting.

Typically male brass fittings are used to connect to these tanks. Brass fittings are not supplied by US Plastic Corp.
1. DO NOT use Teflon tape
2. DO NOT over tighten. All you need is to hand tighten and then another 1 - 1-1/2 turns. If you have already over tightened the fitting, remove the fitting and let the tank sit for a day and then reinstall it following these instructions.
3. Use a product called Permatex #2 sealant (this product is compatible with most fuels and oils).
