The Acrylic sheets are UV stabilized and can be used for greenhouses. Proper supports must be used to prevent sagging, especially in horizontal installation. Acrylic does not do well under snow load and will start to sag.
Our Makrolon® Polycarbonate sheets can also be used because they are UV stabilized.
Most commonly used for greenhouse applications are our Polycarbonate Twinwall panels. These sheets are solar grade with a coextruded layer that protects from yellowing, wear, and UV exposure. Since they are economical, lightweight, and stronger than glass and acrylic, they are the optimal choice for greenhouses.
