What type of bottle will work with packaging essential oils?

Q. Which material is best for use with essential oils, glass or plastic?
A. Glass is always best as it will handle all essential oils without breaking down.  However, FEP plastic bottles and containers also do a great job for storing essential oils.  It all depends on the type of oil that you are using.   Most oils permeate plastic containers, making them soft and gummy in texture.  We have found that there are less volatile essential oils that can be used with other plastics such as PET, PP, and PVC. Usually one must test their application prior to purchasing large quantities.
