How to Figure the Number of Gallons of a Square or Rectangular Tank?

Multiply the length x width x height of the tank in inches / 1728 = Cubic feet

Then take cubic feet x 7.48 to get the number of gallons

(7.48 is the number of gallons there are per cubic foot)
