What is the difference between standard and tank mount on the Heavy Duty PVC Float valves?

The standard valves connect to your supply line with Male Pipe Thread. The tank mount will also connect to the supply line with Male Pipe Thread, but they have a thread with a locking nut and gasket to mount them in the tank wall. To install the tank mount, you must drill a hole in your tank the size of the thread on the valve and then thread on the nut to secure it on the tank wall. This leaves you with a Male Pipe Thread outside the tank to connect your supply line.
