The only buckets that we offer that are UN certified are the Life Latch Buckets, the Ultimate Pails for Liquids, and the New Generation Tamper Evident Shipping Containers and the 5 gallon UN bucket . These containers are UN certified for Groups II & III.
The Life Latch buckets and the New Generation Tamper Evident Shipping Containers are UN certified for shipping solids.
The Ultimate Pails for Liquids are UN certified for shipping liquids.
- Life Latch Containers are certified for U.N. package performance oriented packaging and is marked with the appropriate U.N. markings on the bottom of the container.
- The Life Latch pail must always be used with the Life Latch lid to meet U.N. approval.
- For Solid/Dry: To close the container, seat cover onto top of container. Torque cover so threaded contact is a full 180 degree turn. For Liquid: to close the container, seat cover onto top of container. Torque cover so threaded contact is a full 270-360 degree turn with a minimum of 270 degree.
- Appropriate markings must be maintained so that the product filled inside the Life Latch pail matches the intended hazardous commodity rankings which U.N. certifies for that package. The U.N. markings are defined in Section B.
The 5 gallon UN bucket is our standard 5 gallon bucket and UN White Lid with Rieke Pour Spout. The 5 gallon bucket by itself or with other lids is not UN approved. It must be used with the 2330 UN White Lid with Rieke Pour Spout to meet UN packaging requirements.
