The only bottles and jars that we offer that are guaranteed to be leakproof are the ones made by Thermo Scientific™ Nalgene™. These have a patented thread that prevents leaks. The only exception is the Thermo Scientific™ Nalgene™ straight-sided jars, which are not guaranteed leakproof.
Other bottles and jars that we offer are not expected to leak when the cap is screwed on correctly, but they are also not 100% guaranteed leakproof. For all intents and purposes, if a bottle contains a liquid and a standard cap with a liner is screwed on securely, it should not leak if it is tipped on its side.
Please note that some oily substances can cause the caps to back off or loosen, resulting in leaks.
None of the straight-sided jars, including the Thermo Scientific™ Nalgene™ straight-sided jars, are leakproof.
