Polystyrene can be drilled, threaded, sawed, sheared, punched and machined. Polystyrene can also be painted and has excellent forming properties (vacuum pressure). Polystyrene is non-toxic and odorless, dimensionally stable, has low water absorption and is heat and electronically sealable. Styrene meets FDA standards, but is not UV stabilized.
