The self-aligning ball moves freely against the PTFE seats for smooth operation. After molding, the ball is diamond-turned to make it spherically perfect, which provides precise contact between the ball and the seats. These are side-load valves, and they provide directional flow, right or left. The valve cannot be turned off.
