This firmware upgrade package gives syringe and peristaltic pumps higher pressure, speed, and power. The X2 upgrade has a linear/gradient program function (syringe pumps only), a dual pump next-generation continuous pumping mode and constant flow rate gradient pumping mode, and additional programming functions for more complex pumping programs. The linear/gradient function allows for smooth linear increasing or decreasing gradient pumping, the start and end pumping rate and the time to be set, and multiple gradients to be pre-programmed. The dual pump next-generation continuous infusing system provides a precise continuous flow while eliminating the problem of flow rate drop-offs and pauses caused by push-pull syringe pumps. The dual pump constant flow rate gradient pumping mode maintains a constant flow rate using two pumps; it enables syringe pump 1 to be set to a linear function and syringe pump 2 to automatically pump inversely to syringe pump 1 so that the sum of pump 1 and pump 2 flow rates remain a constant rate. The dual pump modes require any combination of two pumps with X firmware upgrades and a dual pump communications cable (sold separately).
