The ReadyStrain™ II Premium Cell Strainer system is a fast, easy-to-use solution for detaching, isolating, and straining cells from clusters and tissues. A polypropylene frame supports a nylon mesh that is available in different color-coded porosities. The unique interlocking stackable design allows for a tiered filtration process, and the molded grip and unique geometry ensure aseptic handling, eliminating contamination risks associated with finger contact. Built-in support tabs are designed to fit into six-well plates, and four 1.5mm feet enable use in flat dishes and plates. Improved aeration allows air to escape while filtrate enters the tube, thus eliminating the "air-lock" effect and preventing messy spillovers. Strainers can be used with 50mL tubes, or a reducing adapter can be used with a strainer for 5mL, 15mL, or FACS tubes. These gamma-sterilized, preassembled kits, which include a 50mL tube, attached SureStrain™ strainer, and loose screw cap, reduce contamination risks by providing all necessary parts for filtration of cell suspensions in a convenient tear-strip bag.
