These Fibrestat boxes are molded from high-strength, glass-reinforced composites and are specifically formulated to dissipate electrostatic discharge. The fiber component provides strength and dimensional stability, while the thermoset resin provides specific chemical, electrical, and thermal properties. The composite material's high conductivity and low electrical resistance are permanent properties that ensure the safe transfer of electrostatic discharge away from sensitive microprocessors, assemblies, loaded circuit boards, and other electronic components for the container's life. The boxes are designed to safely and effectively convey, carry, accumulate, and store static-sensitive parts and assemblies and possess superior physical properties over thermoplastic and corrugated products. They are resistant to detergents, cutting oils, greases, solvents, mild acids & alkaline solutions with a pH rating of 3.0 to 10.0. The stacking boxes ensure optimum space utilization during assembly operations, may be used to form mobile workstations, and can be readily integrated into automated applications. Their inherent strength enables the boxes to be stacked several feet high with complete dimensional stability and without bending or sagging under heavy loads. The optional lids, sold separately, ensure complete product protection from dust and contamination and enable nesting boxes to be stacked.
