These frosted microscope slides are pre-cleaned and ready to use, making them ideal for a wide range of routine laboratory applications. Made from high-quality soda lime glass, the slides offer excellent durability and clarity at a more economical price than premium white glass alternatives. Due to its higher iron content, the soda lime glass has a natural greenish tint. The standard shelf life for soda lime glass microscope slides is approximately 2 years if proper transportation and storage conditions are followed. The slides with ground edges feature 90° ground edges and corners, making them excellent choices for use in automatic cover slip machines. The slides with safety corners provide a 90° ground edge and slightly clipped corners for comfortable handling and to prevent the risk of finger and hand cuts. The frosted slides are produced using a unique chemical etching process that provides a smooth frosted finish that won't wear out slide marking pens. They are also printed with "Globe" under the frosting area for easy orientation.
