How to Make a Face Shield

DIY Step

Step 1 — Collect the Materials & Tools

1. .020" Vivak® PETG Sheet Cut into 12" W x 9" Hgt. and round the corners Shop Now
2. 1" Black Reticulated Polyurethane Foam Cut into 1" L x 1" W x 9" long piece for forehead Shop Now
3. Double-sided Gorilla® Tape Used to attach the foam head rest to the plastic. Shop Now
4. 1-1/8" Wide Woven Elastic Cut into 16" long piece. -
5. Decorative Sticker A logo or other decoration can be added on the 1-1/2" L x 10" W sticker. -
6. Corner Rounding Tool - -
7. Scissors - -
8. Staple Gun - -
DIY Step

Step 2 — Prep the Sheet

Trim the sheet to 12" W x 9" Hgt. and peel off the blue protective film from the PETG sheet. Round the corners with the corner round tool or scissors.

Step 3 — Attach the foam & sticker (optional) to the plastic

Using the double-sided tape attach the foam to the top of the PETG. On the opposite side, you can attach a label (optional).

Step 4 — Staple Straps on to the Plastic

Staple the elastic strap on to the plastic to hold the shield to your face.
