Brass drain cocks are designed to provide a controlled, reliable means of draining fluids, air, or condensate from pressurized systems, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and equipment longevity. Typically installed at the lowest point in a system, they are ideal for use in air compressor tanks, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, plumbing and water lines, boilers, fuel or oil tanks, and many other industrial applications. Constructed from durable brass for corrosion resistance and long service life, these drain cocks feature metal-to-metal or O-ring seals for dependable shutoff under moderate pressure conditions. The standard drain cocks feature a general-purpose design for a wide range of fluid systems. The drain cocks with external seats are designed for compressor receivers, radiators, and pool equipment, where stem removal is not required. The drain cocks with thumbscrews are engineered for applications where traditional drain cocks are prone to damage. The drain cocks with pull cord are ideal for hard-to-reach or high-pressure systems like vehicle air brake tanks and industrial air compressors. The stem tilts to open the valve with minimum pull cord force, and the spring returns the stem to positively seal against the O-ring when force on the cord is released.
